World Animal Day
We came to nursery dressed as an animal and brought a £1 donation to help raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. We had some grrrrrrreat costumes in nursery!
The children took part in animal tracking outside where we identified the animal footprints we found. Whilst outside we also found a mysterious egg which we took back inside to hatch!
We read animal stories which matched our costumes...this was The Tiger Who Came To Tea for Miss Judson and Giraffes Can't Dance for Mrs Stevens! We also did activities to help us learn more about animals and think about how we can help them. We even had an animal themed snack!
