Elections

Every new school year we hold our school council elections and each of the classes vote to elect two representatives to become part of the school council.

What do the school council do?

The school council take parts in lots of activities including:

  • listening to the views and concerns of other pupils and representing them in school council meetings;
  • suggesting ideas to help improve the school and make decisions;
  • encouraging pupils to respect and care fir our school and environment;
  • fundraising events for our school and other charities.

The school council meet regularly and are involved in making decisions about all aspects of school life. They consult with the children in their classes and put forward suggestions to improve the quality of the school environment. The school council report to the rest of the school in assemblies and to their class after meetings. We also have a suggestion box for all children to share ideas and make comments. The school council collect these and attempt to act on them.

Please feel free to browse the minutes taken at our school council meetings to see what we have been up to.
