Week beginning 9.11.2020

English:

 

This week will we will be looking at Remembrance Day. We will be collecting a range of vocabulary on our poppy sheet and then progressing to writing a poppy poem this week.

Friday is 'Children in Need' day. We are looking at the character of Pudsey Bear and describing him using adjectives. We are also thinking about his personality and behaviour and writing sentences to tell people what sort of a bear he is.

Maths:

 

In maths this week we are continuing our addition and subtraction work:

 

• Subtracting a 1 digit number from a 2 digit number by counting back (writing our own number lines)
• Adding a 2 digit number to another 2 digit number using place value and the column method

 

 

Topic:

 

Art and history: This week we are painting a rock to take to the War memorial next week. We are finding out about 'Poppy Day'.

 

PE: we will be taking part in a Joe Wicks workout each day for Children in Need.
