Phonics

The nursery children have worked really hard on their phonics and tuning into sounds this term. In the pictures below you will see the children independently using their phonics skills to play phonics games, to write their name and to say the sound their name starts with as they line up! In the story room you will see the children playing phonics games ('which instrument?', 'Bertha the Bus' and 'Metal Mike') and in the outdoor area you will see the girls making 'silly soup' with rhyming objects and the boys practising writing the first letter of their names!
