Measuring in Metres
We went outside to measure larger objects. Firstly we estimated lengths ranging between 1m and 2m, then we measured using our metre sticks and finally we recorded these lengths in centimetres and metres in our tables. The Year Twos worked alongside the Year Ones and demonstrated to them how to mark at the one metre point and count on beyond. They really enjoyed this collaboration.
