Jungle Themed Phonics

Lots of phonics jungle fun in nursery this half term! Check out the pictures below to see what we have been getting up to and then have a go at the activities at home too!

We have played 'I spy a jungle animal' to work on our initial sounds; we have fed tiger food to develop our oral blending skills; we have played rhyming pairs with Handy and Pandy elephant to develop our awareness of rhyme; we have helped monkey to pack his suitcase for his travels by segmenting cvc words; and we have worked on our segmenting and blending skills by playing a game of 'Christopher Croc' says!
