Understanding our Oceans
In EYFS we looked at a world map and were amazed that most of our planet is covered in water. We learnt that there are 5 oceans that cover our planet and we learnt their names, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, Artic. We collected everyday objects, made predictions and investigated whether objects can float or sink. We looked at the effects of plastic in our oceans and how that can damage the sea creatures. The melting ice caps were observed over time and we looked at the impact it can have on the land.
