Our Cauliflower Art Project

For our cauliflower art project, we used our art skills to create pieces of artwork.

Year 1 children used four colours; red, orange, blue and green to create a rainbow water wash on their piece of paper. Once it was dry, the children then used different sized paint brushes to paint a tree. The children then used an art technique called 'pointillism' where they used cotton buds to create leaves on their trees. 

Year 2 children used an art technique called 'pop art'. This technique is all about using four colours to make each square or quarter 'pop'! The children used the same four colours in each quarter, but each picture has the colours in a different order. 

We were very proud of our artwork and I am sure our mum's and dad's were too!
