Ugly Bug Ball Day

We had lots of fun on our ugly bug ball day. We started the day by writing mini beast captions. The children were very knowledgeable about the bugs. Then we had our mini beast visitor. She introduced us to lots of mini beasts. Some of them we were allowed to hold, some we could touch and some we had to look at. We saw a tarantula, crickets, beetles, stick insects and snails. The children were very well behaved and learnt lots of new facts. In the afternoon we made some mini beast snacks. A ladybird biscuit by using icing and a spider using grapes and raisins. We finished the day by eating our snacks and watching a cbeebies mini beast programme. Every child also took a seed butterfly home.
