Story Times and Rhymes Event for Children and Parents
If you were able to join us for our 'Story Times and Rhymes' event, thank you! We hope you found the session both enjoyable and useful in supporting your child's communication, language, and literacy development...and of course, their love of books and reading!
'Communication and Language' Development and 'Literacy' Development.
The 'Areas of Learning' that have the greatest links to our 'Story Times and Rhymes Event' are 'Communication and Language' and 'Literacy'.

The statements show the expected progression children typically make throughout their time in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These statements conclude with the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) which children are aiming to achieve by the time they finish their Reception year.
Of course all children are unique and progress differently, but the ELGs show us the typical knowledge, skills, and understanding children need to acquire to be at an expected level at the end of Reception.
