The Gingerbread Man Experiement

We read the story of the gingerbread man.

We decided to do an experiment to see what happens when they Gingerbread Man gets wet.

What happened when he gets wet in different liquids.

We predicted what might happen to him.

We thought he might go squishy, mushy and soft.

The vinegar made him soft and smelly.

The water made him soggy and he grew.

The juice made him the same as the water.

The milk also did the same.

The oil made him harder to break.

Keeping the Gingerbread Man dry

We wanted to keep the Gingerbread Man dry so we made him an umbrella.

We drew the shape we wanted and cut it out.

Then we designed our umbrella.

The Three Little Pigs

We read the story of The Three Little Pigs.

We talked about how the wolf knocked down the houses using his breath.

We tried to see if we could move things using our breath.

The feather was easy to move because it was light.

Blowing power

We used the Duplo to create a maze.

We made sure the maze had an entrance and an exit.

Then we used our breath to move our pompom around the maze.

We made sure our breath moved the pompom in the correct direction.
