Science-Animal Groups

In science this half term we have been learning about classifying animals according to different characteristics.  We have classified animals according to what they eat and learnt the scientific vocabulary of cat core, herbivore and omnivore.  We then moved onto classifying using different criteria such as fur, scales, warm/cold blooded, feathers, lays eggs or has live babies.  We then drew a picture of our favourite animal and used plastic toy animals to classify them into one of the following groups: mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird or fish.
