Science - Absorbency
The science topic for this half term has been Materials and we have completed a variety of investigations. Our favourite was the absorbency investigation. We planned and carried out an investigation that compared 4 different materials: paper, plastic, tin foil and fabric. We discussed how tin foil is a very thin metal that has been hammered and hammered until it is really thin. We discussed how to make sure that we conducted a fair test by ensuring that the water level and size of material was the same each time. We also recorded our predictions and the conclusions about which material was the most absorbent.
