Self Portraits

We looked at our faces in mirrors and described what we saw...

...we then mixed colours and painted our self portraits!

Science

For science we did a food taste test...

...by tasting foods from the five food groups...

...to find out which our favourite taste group is!

The lemon was very sour!

Our favourite taste overall was 'salty'!

Welly Fun!

We continued making portraits outside...

...but this time using mud and natural materials.

We used sticks to tap beats as we sang songs...

...we also tapped the syllables in our names!

We read the Cinderella story and cast spells on the pumkin, just like the fairy godmother!

We carved open the pumpkin and explored the inside...

describing what we could feel and smell!

We learned how to safely use tools for cutting...

...to carve our pumpkin!

Story Time

Back inside we read a story about a witch and a pumkin...

...then we explored some smaller pumpkins...

...using all of our senses!

We put the pieces of pumpkin into a cauldron...

...cast a magical spell and created pumpkin soup!

We tasted the pumkin soup that we magically made!
