Maths - Weight, Mass and Temperature

In Year 1 Maths, we started our new concept of Weight and Mass today. We chose objects and worked together as a team to measure the weight of the objects using the balance scales. We then orally rehearsed a sentence to explain what we have found out using the vocabulary heavier or lighter. The children really enjoyed this Maths lesson. 

In Year 2 Maths, the children were looking at temperature and how we measure temperature using a thermometer. The children looked carefully at the scale and used their accurate counting skills to read the temperature in degrees. Super work!
