- Inflating Balloon Science Experiment
This week's science experiment in nursery was the 'magic' inflating balloon! This experiment involved a reaction between the vinegar (which is an acid) and the bicarbonate of soda (which is an alkaline). When these two things react, it makes bubbles. Bubbles are full of air. When the bubbles pop the air can't escape from the bottle so goes into the balloon to inflate it....magic...or science! The key vocabulary we used with the children for this experiment was: reaction, bubbles, air, inflate.
