During alien week, we shared our knowledge with the aliens…teaching them new things!

At the maths table, we taught the aliens about Numicon!

We threw an asteroid at a piece of Numicon, said the value or counted the holes...

...then found the alien with the matching numeral!

In the investigation area, we taught the aliens about magnetic objects!

We tested an object using a magnet, said if it was magnetic or not...

...then sorted it into the appropriate group!

At the playdough table we created our own aliens for the flying saucers!

The children modelled the dough using their hands and tools...

...they also chose different resources, such as pipe cleaners....

...to make an alien with lots of features!

At the workshop, we used tools purposefully to make a flying saucer!

We followed instructions carefully to make the flying saucer!

Some children chose to make a repeating pattern on their flying saucer!

We also worked as a team, to creatively design...

...an alien! We selected different pens and changed the thickness...

...to create our alien artwork!
