Summer Term Week 3 (4th May 2020)

A VE Day message from Luca the Leopard

Hello Skylarks

Today I have been getting ready for VE Day because Mrs Beck has told me that tomorrow is the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

I wanted to find some red, white and blue things to wear but the problem was that I don't have very many clothes! I always wear white so that was ok but I needed something red and blue. So Mrs Beck let me search around for something to borrow. But everyone who lives here is so much bigger than me! Luckily I managed to find some stripy socks to wear as leggings and Mrs Beck made a hat for me out of a red handkerchief. Then I found some flags to decorate the garden.

I have sent you some pictures of what I will be wearing, I hope you like them. Mrs Beck says she hopes some of you take some photos tomorrow so she can see what you are doing and wearing.

Also I heard Mrs Beck singing a song today while waving a union jack flag and I wondered if it was about you. It went something like this... 'We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day'. Do you know it? Ask your adults if they know it. She's obviously looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Well everyone, I hope you all have a lovely time tomorrow. 'Keep smiling through, just like you always do...'

Bye for now

Love Luca
