Welly Fun - Stick Houses and Pumpkin Carving
We had a fantastic Welly Fun session in the Autumn sunshine!
We harvested the pumpkin which we planted last year, hollowed it out, and carved it with animal faces to celebrate World Animal Day! The children explored the flesh and seeds of the pumpkin using all of their senses and they even helped to safely carve it using tools!
As part of our All About Me topic we also made houses using sticks and other natural materials - we even added extra parts to our houses for example, using leaves to make beds.
Finally for Welly Fun this week, we tracked animal footprints to celebrate World Animal Day - the children found lots of footprints which belonged to woodland creatures!
