Week 4 - Starry Skies
Why do stars twinkle?
This week we have been investigating why stars twinkle in the night sky. We discovered that the source of light from a star is constant however as the light travels through the different layers of the atmosphere it is bent in different directions and makes it look like it is twinkling. We recreated this scenario by shining a torch light through water onto reflective foil which made the light twinkle.
