Week 4 - Bones

This week we have been learning all about bones.  We discussed what would happen if we didn’t have bones inside our bodies … we researched using the internet how many bones are in an adult body.  During our research we learnt that there are 206 bones in an adult body and that the longer and strongest bones in the body is the femur or thigh bone.
We researched about how our bones are connected and learnt the technical names for the knee cap (patella) and the skull (cranium) which protects our brains.
Finally we made our own human body including the torso (I mean what else would we do in science club the week before Halloween?!!).
