Week 2 Wednesday
We started the day by reading the book 'Owl Babies' and we talked about what noises the baby owls would hear at night time. Then we all wrote some sentences about the story and how the owls were feeling when they were waiting for their mum. We painted pictures of the three owls using cotton wool to make them look feathery and added eyes, beaks and feet. Maths was great fun today; two games using dice to roll and add numbers for colouring or drawing the parts of the owl.
After lunch we created owl pictures using '2 create a story' on the computers. Finally we went outside and made our own owl nests for Sarah, Percy and Bill (the owlets) by searching for twigs, leaves and feathers to make them cosy. We hope to do some more owl activities next week!
