Week 1 - Magic Milk
First, we carefully poured some milk onto a shallow plate. We then used pipettes to put different coloured food colouring into the milk. We then carefully dipped a cotton bud into some washing up liquid and then placed the tip of the cotton bud into the milk.
We made careful observations about what was happening to the colours.
We observed that the colours wiggled and danced around the plate like fireworks. We talked about why we thought that happened and why it eventually stopped.
Our favourite part was seeing how quickly the colours swirled around the plate.
