Week 1 - Chemical Reactions

Again we have started this term's science club with the all time favourite.  We have learnt that when you mix different substances together and they change this is called a 'chemical reaction'.  The substances we have mixed together are called reactants.  We have chosen to mix acetic acid (vinegar) and Sodium Bicarbonate together to create a chemical reaction.  We added a drop or two of food colouring to help show the reaction more clearly as the mixture fizzes up quickly.
