Today's activities were all based around the story 'Pig in the Pond' linked to our Farms topic. Everyone enjoyed sorting the story words afterwards into nouns, adjectives and verbs. Then we used adjectives and verbs to make sentences about a pig. There were lots of funny ideas and some excellent writing. In Maths we added prices of items in the Farm Shop. There were lots of different methods used and some children were able to discuss how they found the totals.
After lunch we made rocking pigs with paper plates. They all looked different and everyone was excited about taking them home. Also we thought of lots of other ways the pig could cool down! Lots of really good ideas. Finally we had PE in the hall using the large apparatus. We balanced, climbed and moved in different ways on the apparatus. Everyone had great fun and learnt some new skills.
