Today was a robot day. We started the day with the book 'No-Bot'. All the children then chose a picture of a robot and we talked about adjectives. They had to choose words to describe their robot and put those words into sentences. After that we went into the hall for some robot move it. After snack time and a play time, we went back inside for some robot number bonds. We looked at number bonds to 10 first using the Numicon to help us. Then the KS1 children moved onto number bonds to 20. In the afternoon we used our creative skills to make a robot. The children all picked the colour card they wanted and got to work. There were some different robots and the children used some good skills to make them. After play time we went into the computer suite and drew some robots on the 2 paint a picture program. We finished the day with another robot story.
