Today we have read the story 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch'. We looked at all of the lovely food that Mr Grinling has for lunch and thought about what we might want Mrs Grinling to send us in the picnic basket. We wrote a list of all of the tasty food we would have. We then made our own lighthouse keepers snack. Next we did some lighthouse addition and solved some problems. Some of us had a go at building our own lighthouse using blocks.
This afternoon we made some milk bottle bird feeders and some wheat hoops bird feeders to spot the birds eating Mr Grinlings lunch. We then had a go at making a zipwire in the classroom and sent things in a basket to the other side.
