Outdoor Classroom Day 2021

'Outdoor Classroom Day' was so much fun...

we all had such a fantastic time with lots of smiles, laughter and enjoyment.

In the morning, the children took their English and Maths learning outside. In English, the Year 1 children were learning about adjectives. The Year 2 children were learning about adjectives and adverbs. All the children used the natural environment outside to practise these. Please see if you can spot any of the describing words written on the leaves.

In Maths, the Year 1 children were practising addition and subtraction using natural objects to help them. They were written their own number sentences using + and -. Can you spot any of our number sentences? The Year 2 children were investigating coins and buying natural materials from the shop using coins to make an amount of money.

Then after a busy morning, both Woodpeckers and Skylarks went onto the field and completed a range of different activities from bird feeders to leaf crowns to den building as well as some leaf fun!
