Mountain Rescue Deomonstration March 2022

To kick start our Heroes topic in EYFS and to complete our Explorers topic in KS1 we had a very special visit from the Mountain Rescue Team! Steve and Tony showed us lots of equipment that they use to rescue people and even let us have a go with them. We learned new vocabulary such as 'casualty' and trauma' and even got to see the lights and hear the siren on the rescue vehicle! We had an AMAZING time learning about the Mountain Rescue Team. Steve and Tony finished the day by teaching us how they call for and signal to the rescue helicopter so they know where they are...this was by using a radio and a smoke signal!
