Fine Motor Fun

It is very important to exercise our fingers in nursery to help make them strong - this will help children to hold a pencil correctly and use it with good control. In nursery we have taken part in lots of fine motor fun recently... at the Funky Fingers area we have been snipping pieces of paper with scissors and at Dough Digits time we have been doing finger exercises with playdough! Two great ways to make our fingers strong. At home you could encourage your child to help you hang the washing on the line using pegs - pinching pegs are a great finger exercise!
