Environmental Review

Our first official meeting took place at our off site allotment. The eco kids brought their books full of ideas of how to make our school more eco friendly - they came up with some excellent ideas such as saving energy by switching off lights and appliances, avoiding waste by recycle and composting, and litter picking to make our grounds more friendly to wildlife. Some children also shared how they are helping to save the planet from home such as sponsering polar bears where the ice caps are melting due to global warming and climate change.

The eco kids met with the adult members of the committee to complete the environmental review. Miss Judson, Mrs Stevens, and Sandra from the governing body helped the children to complete the review. It showed us our eco strengths and eco weaknesses as a school and will inform the next step of the green flag award...action planning!
