Chemical Reactions - Rockets
This week we have been investigating chemical reactions again and looking at trying to create enough of a reaction to shoot the container into the air like a rocket. We discussed what was causing the reaction. We discovered that when you mix sodium bicarbonate and and acetic acid together they react to form a gas called carbon dioxide.
We experimented with adjusting the quantities of each of the reactants to see if we could create a smaller of larger amount of carbon dioxide.
