Black History Month - African Music and Dancing

Black History Month

This month we are celebrating 'Black History Month'. Today, we had a visitor come into school called Bamma and she talked to us about black history and what this means. We listened to some African music and did some dancing linked to sports stars and athletes from the past and present. Some of these include Usain Bolt, Mo Farah, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Pele. The children really enjoyed this dance and learning about famous black athletes. 

We enjoyed our dance session so much that we recorded our dance for our grown-ups to see at home! Enjoy watching our African dance, including famous black sports athletes and stars, remembering that we are celebrating black history month! Well done Woodpeckers.
