Story Times

Our governor, and story time volunteer, read us a story about bees!

Another day, we found a message from our friend Bee in the story room!

We moved to our beehive and found antennas to wear!

At one point in the story, it was nighttime...so we turned out the lights!

Luckily, we had fireflies to light the way for us...just like in the story!

Whoever followed Hush Teddy’s rules the best got to wear the antenna all day!

Learning About Bees

We learnt a lot about bees from books and the internet! We learnt lots of new vocabulary!

We could describe how bees make honey; from collecting nectar to drying it in the beehive!

At the writing table, we drew our own bees...

...and described them using the new vocabulary we had learnt!

And at the workshop...

...we printed bees...

...describing their colours and patterns!
