We had a lovely time celebrating VE day at nursery! 

We learnt that there was a big disagreement between many countries and VE day was the day everyone celebrated the fighting coming to an end. 

We acknowledged this peace and celebration by; having street party style snacks and lunch; making spitfire planes,  making a-b-c pattern decorations, and designing our own victory medals! 

At home you could encourage your child to remember their celebrations at nursery and recreate some of the experiences at home to foster celebrating peace!
