Police

Phonics

We took phonics outside...to our prison cell! The only way to escape prison was to use our robot arms to segment words that PC Judson gave to us!

At home you can support your child to use pure sounds as they segment words using their robot arms e.g. c-a-t.

Police Role Play

The children took on their police officer roles VERY seriously...at one point, Miss Judson, Mrs Stevens, and Mrs Laws were all arrested!

Enhancing the Role Play

The children used their crafting skills to make police radios and handcuffs to enhance their role-play!

At home you could use junk materials such as cereal boxes to make police role-play items, developing their fine motor skills and creativity.

Fingerprints

We learnt that fingerprints are unique and are good pieces of evidence to help catch criminals and solve mysteries of who was at a crime scene.

We took our own fingerprints and then used a magnifying glass to look closely at the patterns.

Maths Table

We matched up the Police Officer with their Police Vehicle by looking at numerals.

At home you could write numerals on your child's play people and vehicles for them to match up and put in number order.
